Every Thursday the Stars to Starfish team goes to the garden by the aquadome. In our garden we have 6 raised beds each bed has different fruit and vegetables. Some of our fruits and vegetables we are growing in the raised beds are tomatoes, peppers, strawberries and cucumbers. In our Earth boxes we have planted cauliflower. Our hydroponic garden is growing more strawberries. Sometime this week we are planting lettuce as well. Most of these plants can take up to 2-3 months to grow. One of the Stars to Star fish students is designing and building an irrigation system for our plants. As some of the students are helping to grow and make sure our fruits and vegetables are growing the other students are cleaning out our garden of weeds, overgrown plants, and fruit growing on our trees.
