Since 2015 Riverview High School’s Aquascience program has been excited about their collaboration with Mote Marine Laboratory in order to grow out, tag and release snook in our very own backyard – Phillippi Creek! Our tank systems were starting to show wear and tear and were in need of replacement. The 15+ year old concrete vats used as snook tanks had been epoxied and repainted several times. We plan to replace these with fiberglass tubs that will not only last much longer, but the design of the systems will help our snook as they get large enough to be released. We are so thankful for this partnership with Mosaic and this opportunity they have given us! THANK YOU!
